How does HARDBIKE MEETING work?

After seven editions of HARDBIKE, in 2026 we take a turn in the way we understand mountain biking, moving away from the most competitive concept and, at the same time, getting closer to the purest mountain biking: that of those who pursue the essence of this sport, sharing the mountains and trails with friends, and doing so through the personal suffering that HARDBIKE has always imposed through its routes — but this time, allowing you to lift your head and enjoy the wonderful views of our surroundings.

HARDBIKE MEETING is born: a concept that, through 3 starting points spread across the Aranese geography, will allow participants to enjoy the best singletracks, adapting to the physical and technical condition of each participant. This will be achieved thanks to three daily itineraries, with different distances and elevation gains, helping participants to take on the challenge that is most interesting for them.

What time will the start be?

There will be no fixed start time. You can start whenever you want, depending on the distance you have chosen and your physical condition. It is recommended to start between 8:30 and 10:30, but you are free to do so whenever you feel like it.

And the finish — how will it work?

In this case, there will be a finish time, which must be before 16:00. At that moment, you will find club staff at the finish line, whom you must approach to indicate that you have arrived and therefore completed the stage.

Will there be cut-off times?

We are not going to set cut-off times. HARDBIKE MEETING is a personal challenge, an adventure to be done by your own choice, and we don’t want to clip your wings ahead of time. That said, remember that you must reach the finish before 16:00 or you will not be considered a finisher of the stage.

Keep in mind that there are three distances (M, L and XL), all with the same finish time of 16:00, and a flexible start time (again, we recommend starting between 8:30 and 10:30). It is up to you when you start, but be aware that if, for example, you choose the XL route and start at 8:30, you will have 7 hours and 30 minutes to complete the entire proposed route. You must assess whether you are really capable of finishing it, or whether you prefer to do the L version and take it a bit more calmly.

And will there be a classification?

From the Union Cycliste Lumberjack, we will not create an official classification. However, we will record the times of those who wish to have a record of how long they took to complete each stage. This list will be public, allowing you to compare yourself with others who, like you, have decided to share their time.

We will do this through your track, recording the time you took and checking that you completed the full route.

We want to reiterate that under no circumstances will this be considered a classification, and that in the case of lying or cheating with the track or time, you will gain nothing from it, as there is no prize beyond the personal satisfaction of being the one who completed a route in the least amount of time.

REGULATIONS

The regulations of HARDBIKE MEETING are very simple: you must complete your registration, make the bank transfer, and we will then send you the final form (your registration will be confirmed as soon as we receive the transfer).

This registration is final, and the amount paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. However, you may transfer it to another person up to 7 days before the event. To do so, simply contact the organization via email at [email protected], and we will send the form again to the new participant so they can fill it out and take your place.

To participate, it is mandatory to have insurance that covers mountain biking activities at a European level. If you do not have such insurance, the participant must indicate that they want a daily insurance policy, and must include 18€ (6€ per day) in the bank transfer payment for the registration.
